Water Leak Repairs – OR Tambo Informal Settlement
Joubert Park Youth Outreach Project was proudly appointed by the Rand Water Foundation to address a critical need in the OR Tambo informal settlement — repairing severe water leaks affecting the community water reticulation system. Our role encompassed full technical oversight, implementation, and quality assurance.
Joubert Park Youth Outreach Project is a non-governmental, non-profit making and non-political community-based organization that seeks to address economic and social issues issues in Johannesburg inner-city and the surrounding areas. Joubert Park Youth Outreach Project is wholly owned by black youth who comply with government’s Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Policy.
The organisation is served by a core of dedicated and skilled members of the Board of Directors who provide their skills and expertise in the governance of the organisation.

OR Tambo Informal Settlement
This initiative aimed to drastically reduce the loss of treated potable water, ensure community health and safety, and help the Rand West Local Municipality preserve revenue from unaccounted water loss.
